Self Storage Tips
The following self storing tips will assist you in moving into your self storage space.
- Start with the objects you know you definitely will not need.
- Place large, solid items into your storage space first followed by the smaller items on top.
- Stand your long items on their side where possible. Remember it¡¯s a Big Box so try to use the height of the unit as well.
- Fill up larger items such as wardrobes with light items and small boxes.
- Use one side wall of the storage space to stack boxes up to the roof.
- If you have a fridge, leave its door open so it does not get smelly.
- Leave items that you need access too at the front of your Big Orange storage space.
- Use mothballs, to protect cloth items such as blankets, linen, cushions and clothing.
- Do not store perishables or flammable items.
- If you store items with petrol motors such as lawn mowers or motorbikes, please ensure you fully empty the petrol.
