3 things you need to know about moving boxes
We are bound to move at least once in our lives and moving is a tedious task. One of the things you cannot do without is moving boxes. Be smart about moving boxes! You can get them for free if you know where to look. Or you can get them at exorbitant prices for a few boxes and you cannot do much with them after moving except to recycle them.
Free boxes
Free boxes are probably the best. However, there are 2 kinds namely the A4 sized copier paper box and the common brown electrical products carton boxes. The A4 sized copier paper boxes are sturdy and comes with a lid, offering a rather secured storage capability compared to the huge brown electrical ones. It is also perfect for storing your unwanted books and magazines. If you work in an office environment, you probably have unlimited access to unwanted A4 sized copier boxes that would otherwise be destined for the trash collection point. If you do not work in an office, consider asking your friend who works in one to help you out. Or you can always drop by an office and request for a few. They people there will be more than happy to help you out.
Electrical product carton boxes
Electrical product boxes come in all shapes and sizes and is another excellent moving box that you can consider. However, these boxes do not come with a cover so it is not that secured as compared to the copier paper boxes. It is slightly more difficult to obtain this unless you work at an electrical store or know of anyone who works there.
Buying moving boxes
If there is no way that you can get moving boxes for free, you have no choice but to purchase them. Always avoid shops that specialises in shipping such as the postage companies as the products there are highly marked up in prices. You can look around some stationery shops or printing shops that may have them for a much cheaper price.
Always consider getting boxes that can be fully secured at the top so as to prevent anything from falling out during the transportation phase. A4 copier paper boxes are an excellent choice but the only downside is their size which limits the things that may be stored in it. Depending on your location and availability, boxes can be obtained for free or at a cost. Always be smart and look around for the cheapest deals possible.
